Imagine . . . floating over thousand year old pagodas and the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River, as the sun rise. You will witness quite possibly the best panoramic views of Bagan and its surrounds. One of the most important archaeological sites in Asia and arguably the world, the thousands of temples at Bagan sit on a dry agricultural plain wedged in a bend of the imperious Irrawaddy River. Flights last around 45 minutes but the entire experience lasts about two and a half hours.
The tour usually start around 4:30- 5:00 Am. Your balloon company will come to your hotel for pick up and transfer to the launch site. The exact location varies from day-to-day depending on the wind conditions. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a light snack while watching the crew inflates the balloons. Once ready, the pilot will give a detailed safety briefing and introduction to the ballooning experience.
The balloon ride will take about 45 minutes to 1 hour to get to view the stunning view of Balloon over Bagan. Upon descending, the crew will be waiting with a glass of sparkling wine to celebrate the flight and enjoy a light breakfast while the balloon is packed up. Then transfer back to the hotel.
